Fridge tech came today and said the problem was a blocked vent.

No, it isn't. Good grief.

The weather finally cooled off a bit, though. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!

Just some thoughts.
That technician is not GOD,,, just a regular person. If the refrigerator is currently working,, its is quite difficult to determine the problem it incurred.
I can think of a few things that could have malfunctioned temporarily.
The Defrost timer could have failed temporarily.
The evaporator fan could have stopped for a time,
New appliances are controlled by electronic controls. They may develop a glitch, and then recover. (or not) Once they are DEAD, then problem easier to find.

My suggestion, if possible for you.
Get a backup refrigerator if you can. Possibly purchase a running one from someone moving away, and at a reasonable price. If things go bad with your new one again,,,,, you don't loose your food.

I don't think a blocked vent is the issue because I clean out the fridge regularly and that vent virtually never has anything in front of it.

I know it's difficult for him to determine a cause when the problem isn't currently happening. He was a very nice man (thank you, Fernando) and said he'd keep the work order open and come right back if it happened again. He mentioned some refrigerators have an access port on top where a tech can plug in and assess the functioning for the past week. That's pretty cool! It's not a part of this fridge, though. It's a very basic fridge.

We lost some food this time because I didn't know the fridge had gotten so warm. We have thermometers in each compartment now and an external reader so I'm keeping an eye on them.

This reminds me I need to order some more beef.

Whoa, some clouds drifted over and it rained for about thirty seconds! I was outside when it happened and I was not dreaming. Even the chickens seemed surprised.

Weird, I was just rekindling my interest in the Aloha breed and suddenly they're being offered by Inspire Farms. I've never seen them listed there before. There are none in stock now but I'm not buying until the fall anyway.

Some Alohas, a couple of lavender orps and cream legbars, another EE... I think chicken math has got me...

G’morning Arizona. We got rain. Legit rain and not just sprinkles! It has been months and months since we got this, I think at least 9. Super happy and the ducks are going to have lots of fun today
