Arizona Chickens

Higley feed at Williamsfield and Higley has OH Kruse lay pellets but they don't have starter, grower or scratch.

You can order organic feed from Azure Standard with no shipping or tax if you order at least $50 worth. They use drop points around the valley.

How will you keep the bugs out? Even with DE I still occasionally get weevils. I bet it has more to do with the age of the food than me, but you know what I mean.

ooh good point... thinking... thinking...

i dunno

I get my organic feed through azure standard, too. I have bought organic feed from the local feed stores, but it must sit around a lot because it usually smells rancid. I love azure standard. I knew there were other drops in the valley. Just didn't know where.

No takers on the tri??? How 'bout a 5K??

Laree, would you be my quirky cheering section???

Glad you enjoyed the pics of the kiddos. They are fun. I miss them being little! My DD is the chicken girl. She loves those birds!

Sure I will cheer! You can be part of Team Ninja. I'd be happy to be the shot-putter or discus thrower on your team. Did a little wrestling back in the day, power lifted, I have a strong center of gravity, but I am not a runner. Edurance, not fast twitch.

Which works out better for when the zombies come. I'll be able to backpack the kids, the water, the food, AND a clean pair of socks out of the city. Fast zombies might be an issue, but that is why the DH has his little armory.

GO, TEAM NINJA!

No. I just need to shake it off as suggested. Breathe...

You do have to be careful on CL.
I ran into someone "lying" on CL. I was looking for a fresh, organic egg supply until mine start laying and contacted someone on CL.
In his ad he said his eggs were organic, but when I questioned him about the feed he used, he said he used Layena.
He also said he never let his chickens out because he didn't want them eating "any old bug".

If anyone in the Gilbert/Mesa area has extra organic eggs please PM me.

I know that is true, but thus far, I have only encountered wonderful people and have even made a lasting friendship, so it took me off guard. I didn't even buy anything from him. He was nasty before he even made a sale!! I guess that is a good thing!

The really good news is, that there are so many wonderful, nice and honest folks out there.

As for when we run into the other kind, thank goodness for friends who understand and help take off the sting!

These thoughts brightened my day. Thank you all for reminding me!
