Mahonri- Can I send your son my traveling duck? There is a park in Budhapest were they dumped all the communist statues. I would REALLY like a picture of the duck in the park. ANY pic from there would be neat! I know his trip isn't for funsies...but if I don't ask, you can't say no.

ACTUALLY- I have a "mini-duck" for people travelling super-far. It weighs less, and while not as good a picture, gets the point across.

GOOD CLEAN CHICKEN FUN:

The DH's favorite chore is catching chickens, when the situation warrants it. So I knew he would love this "How to hypnotize a chicken" thread I stumbled apon:

ANYWAY-- it was funny, and the chickens were "zoned" afterwards, and thus got extra belly scratches.

ETA: It was really neat because it worked best on the "flighty" birds. So I got to snuggle the birds who usually play hard to get.

We have done the one where you tuck the head under the wing and sway the bird until they relax. Then you lay them down and they stay until you wake them. My dad has told me about the line drawing, but we haven't tried it. That is hilarious! Will have to try it!
