The black and white one is made out of paperclay. Its harder to get the small detail but you can if you really work at it. the airdry clay is called Creative paperclay. I like sculpting with it and it is cheaper but once you open the package you need to use it soon or it dries out.

The other two (brownish/tan ones) are made from Polymer clay. You have to bake it. Love the stuff and its not too expensive either. around 11.00 for a little block of it. Most of my sculptures are made from Polymer Clay. I usually use Apoxy clay/sculpt for armature's, legs ect.

I also use foil to bulk out the sculpture so that you dont have to use so much clay.

Actually it was a way to get me motivated to sculpt again. If I had a deadline then I would have too. Of coarse I just sculpted all 3 yesterday. Talk about procrastination.

Hmmm selling them here on BYC, Its not a bad idea

Anyone want a Grumpy Hen (LOL) of coarse I just ran out of clay so you would have to wait until the end of the month if you want one

Mahonri- I get that often. If you have ever been around me when I stub my toe, you would know I wasn't. Like a creative sailor with Tourette's. But I did attend church with most of my friends. Wednesdays, Sundays, occasional Tuesday night "teen nights" (lots of ice blocking), stake dances, retreats.... I could be getting days mixed up. I grew up with the Snephfs, Browns, Allreds, Kirtchners, even the Ange kids--but they were rebels and out of our social league

You still could be...

Work it, work it... Excellent salesmanship.

Sounds like your grew up around the Circle G. Did you know the Bluths or the Christensen's, Barneys or the White's??

I'm not a part of that 'wealthy crowd' either. Money does bad things to otherwise good people. Unfortunately, the Brown's are example of that. It's a good thing I had LOTS of kids, so the $$ thing won't be a problem for us! I grew up on a farm, literally 'dirt poor', but it was a great blessing. I wish I could raise my kids on a farm. You can teach great object lessons there. Wow, you grew up practically LDS but in the end they didn't get you under the water...

What a great place it would be for your kids to find great friends with good core values, don't you think?

Off the top of my head: Jordan Bluth, Niaomi Barnes, (not Barney), too many Christensens and Whites. Can't seperate them in my head. Collin Kirtchner was in all my advanced science classes before he moved away. Brandon Brown held my hand for "Hands Across America" then he lost all those fingers in his quad chain (1988?). Not Circle G, those were the rich kids. Orchestra and band kids. My kind of nerds. Gonna have to pull out the yearbook when I get home. If only they had had chickens back then...

Ohhh....I love to hear Jordan sing. A few years ago he sang at a benefit that my mother and I attended. I had never heard of him at that time. Since then I have seen him perform in two different presentations (one in Utah and one here) of that The Forgotten Carols musical by Michael McLain. Jordon's singing reminds me a lot of Josh Groban.

Earthquake shook me up A litttle on Sunday. Anyone else feel it?

I completely missed it.

Rude you mean?

Just kidding! I am a AZ native, so sometimes I take for granted all the stuff I "just know". It also puts me at a disadvantage as I may not notice change. I was just wondering...

Speaking of your chicken stuff collection aversion (Grumpy Chickens excepted) Whatever happened to the rooster statue from your DH that missed the mark for you tastes?

Why it got a place of honor in the kitchen, of course! It is not that I hate it, it is just...disturbing...

It is up there with my remote control mammoth, "rock tree", and others. You can see it from the WHOLE main house.
