LOL
They said they had 20 left and that they were 10 a piece which is a bit high i assume but... they are very cute.
Ohh I am getting like 8-9 i think it depends on the colors and which i like. I may go with less depending on that. Will just have to see when I get there.
I cant remember if you are on my side of town if you want me to grab some for you just let me know and I can get a few extra.
Actually got the OK from the wife so I am all good to go. Just gotta go pick them up tomorrow.
Where did you find care info on button quail chicks? I haven't been able to find any.
Shaun
Shaun, I'm in the South Chandler area. Heres a good website: http://www.cyberquail.com/
I wouldn't plan on a group, they are territorial. Much like chickens, quails live better in a higher hen to male ratio...1-1, 1-5 1-10.
Males have white bibs and females are plain. The cage cannot be a wire bottom, they set not perch.
The chicks will need a brooder and the temp is only five degrees higher than a chickens. Like 95f the first week and lower every week they age.
I have no idea how old these chicks are so you would need to ask!
Hope that helps, the website had better information. Not sure if I should wait to pick them up myself since I lack some of the supplies?
