Arizona Chickens

Good morning everyone!

This past week has been so crazy. On Monday my mother's jeep cheeroke burnt to the ground while they were driving back from camping. The car is completely lost and nothing but the frame left. The fire was so hot it actualy melted the rims down to nothing. To make thing worse that was my mother's dream car. The only good news out of that was my mother, brother, step father, and four dogs were all able to get out ok and no one was hurt. Since this happened I offered to take my brother (who is 10 years yonger then me) to my house because he was pretty shaken up from it. The poor kid had just gotten in another accident with his football coach last week so after this I thoguht he just needed a brake. Now my brother is doing ok he is just an amazing and good kid.

OK now on to the good news! My two new scovies are going great and they are getting along wonderfuly with my other scovie.

The new ones are 1 week old and 2/3 weeks old and mine turned 3 weeks on the 7th. The white one is names Conan (after Conan the Barbarian) since I am thinking he is a male.
So I hope everyone is ready for some PICS!

LareePQG~ That is so funny about the roos. When we had our JG roos and they started to crow they sounded like a baby crying MmmAaammm. I swear my neighbors thought I was leaving my kids outside at dawn and letting them cry.

After about 2 weeks of them sounding like crying babies they finaly got the right noise down.

Deal. You will have to "accidentally" slip some duck eggs into a chicken egg purchase and no one will be the wiser.

Exactly! And it won't be a fib since it will be a mystery to what color they will hatch.

Sooo I grew these GIANT sunflowers next to my coop and I have a TON of seeds. Would anyone like some? I don't think it would be any trouble to ship them, I'm thinking I could just put some in an envelop and stick a stamp on it.

http://www.burpee.com/flowers/sunflowers/sunflower-sunforest-mix-prod000400.html these were the original seeds. Since there were different types I'm sure they cross-pollinated, I'm not sure if that matters.I planted a few in a pot inside and got a 40% germination rate.. so at least a few should sprout!

Okay I have to rant. My grandmother is retarded. Seriously. She tried to order a tankless hot water heater and managed to resubmit the order four times. Then they decided it wasn't working and went to another website and ordered one there. So now there are four unneeded ones... the company actually tried to call her TWICE (probably realizing there was a screwup) and she thought it was a telemarketer, acted like a typical crotchety old lady, and then hung up on them.

To top it off she did not get a confirmation email from them (probably used the wrong email address) so I don't have the order numbers, so they aren't letting me cancel her order. The only way I managed to figure out what company she ordered from is that there are four $650 charges on her bank account... *groan*

I tried that... I couldn't get through on the phone so I sent an email. They replied with, "We do not accept cancel request via email request. The account owner will need to call and provide the order confirmation number that was email to them. This email did not reference the order numbers(s) and therefore we can not place them on hold either. Please call us at blablabla"

*grumble* if they ship them I'll be ticked. Unless it means I get a tankless water heater for xmas. That would be pretty sweet. ;-)
