Arizona Chickens

I like overkill. I took a pot shot at a coyote eating the chickens food int eh backyard at about 8 this morning, so I try to make stuff sturdy enough to keep them out, or hidden well enough they don't know to try.

I like it, too.

That's the wire commonly used for rabbit cages when 14g isn't readily available. We use a steel grinder to cut it fast & smooth and then a roll bender for clean bends. It's not really coyote/dog proof but I'd sure rest easier with a coop wired with 16g if coyotes had access to it. I hope you can get it at the same price as the cloth!

I think my urban environment precludes snakes but my cat did drag home a mouse a couple weeks ago. I'll put 1/2 x 1/2 6 inches up when ever I get small chicks.

Scarlet or Janice may have some. I have a little PQ lavender who is free to a good home. He should not be used for breeding, however, as his spine is quite crooked. He, however, is completely unaware of it, and is a healthy happy little boy.

Thank you, but I'm interested in Show Quality birds.

What are Scarlet and Janice's usernames? I don't really come to this thread too often so I don't know anyone by names.

No problem, just thought I would offer him. They are not on BYC. Send me an email and I will forward it to them.

:-( The little one that was hatching hatched, and it looks like the momma chicken stepped on it (or maybe it just died). Either way it didn't make it. :-(

It seems like I lose one chick out of every set of chicks. :-(

The living one is super cute!

Mahonri, if it is breeding quality you can have it back to help replace your flock!
