The BA (Black Australorp, by the way, TT) lays pretty darn well, too. I actually heard that a BA holds the world record for laying.. ?? Not sure how true that still is now that we have all these hybrids.
The Barred Rock is the only one I have that lays XLs and I certainly don't want to be missing THOSE eggs, but they are just ridiculous... they stand on my porch and will actually get increasingly louder until I throw something out there for them. I created monsters!!
