Well, I suppose I have some hens who are getting away from the roos.

That or my roos are shooting blanks. 12 clears from 36 eggs or 12 from 24 I forget.

I've got three broodies at present and I'm considering putting eggs under them, simply for fertility testing.

My FBCM X GCM cross pullets have started laying... VERY DARK little pullet eggs.... they are under an FBCM roo so the resultant chicks will be 3/4 FBCM with just a tad more copper... Can't wait to see what they'll look like.

Mahonri, I candled yesterday (day 10) We had 13 clears on the Americauna eggs, a couple that have light network of veins but may have quit and one Maran egg that was cracked.

Halfway there!
