It's a tough word to work into conversation! For some reason I thought that NoSkiveez (AZ BYCer) had Crevecoeurs, but I'm not sure and she hasn't been around much. I just love a bird with a head like that! I have to admit, it's also been on my wish list. My very long wish list.

I should also update you that my worm colonie has exploded! I discovered yesterday that they completely ate the 4 inch layer of bran (since April). There is only a fine light gray dusting left (about 2 inches including worms). Time to feed a bunch to my chickens

ca, cool on both counts! Oh, this is a good time to tell you that I'm now recommending freezing the wheat bran prior to adding it to the colony. The risk of contamination is small, but probably worth the extra step.

Mikey D, now that I think of it, I'm wondering if I'm confused with the Appenzeller Spitzhaubens that NoSkiveez had. They also have cool hats!

Hatch complete:

ameraucanas 6, all muffed and bearded (put in 7 eggs) one started and quit, not sure when

fbcms 8 (put in 11) tossed 1 clear, 1 quit day 15ish and 1 died mid-hatch

Here are pics of the 4 FBCMs, 3 have feathered shanks: why is one of them sooo brown? the pic does not do it justice. they are 3 weeks.

tried to take pics of the 4 ameraucanas, 2 icelandics and polishx at laree's, but they are blurry. sorry.
