Arizona Chickens

I could help some, but I would need to do an hour here, and hour there ... can't manage a whole day / morning.

LOL, who could? Thanks for the offer!

LOL I have developed bursitis in my left arm from lifting too much. Too many things in chickens are 50#. Sand, food, full water pail. So I can't do too much. I have to have my hubby do most lifting over 20 pounds until it's better. So I figure I could help for a bit here and there without making it worse. Otherwise I could help all day.

Anyone in Tucson raise Bourbon Red or White Palm turkey's I'm wanting to get a couple of poults later on this year maybe in Sept. or Oct.?

I would really love if if you (or someone with both the skills and the knowledge) could do an over-lay with the breed names on this image. I'll be browsing the breeds forever, trying to figure all these chickens out!

I'm in that limbo of "want chickens, must build a coop"... and Easter Eggers are one I think I'd like.

I wish I was able to build the coop myself and do it *now*!

BTW, I PM'd you about visiting tomorrow.

To get your bursitis better you must lift nothing heavier than a wineglass. Or coffee cup one Saturday morning.

Being really new to the board, I don't want to assume an invitation... So what follows is my offer of a bribe for an invite.

I can bring deviled eggs. My wife makes a mean Mac'n Cheese (!). Hubby makes "Cincinnati Style Chili" (a popular sweet chili from the Cincinnati, Ohio area, usually served over spaghetti pasta or over hot dogs.) and he makes a rockin' Lasagna.

I checked in with hubby on what he might like to make and he said:

Are we going to a potluck? meep

I'm really enjoying getting to know all of you here on BYC -- and looking forward to meeting more of you in person!

The little ones are all Seramas.
Then (starting left) there is Henrietta (cuckoo marans), Gertrude (buff orpington), Olivia (australorp), Evie (rhode island red), and Ivy (silver laced wyndotte).
Not pictured are Flo (blue silkie), Bernice and Beatrice (blue ameraucanas) ... they were in the coop for that picture ... the blue girls all hang together - so funny! Bernice is always trying to get under Flo to sleep, even though Bernice is bigger. I was only planning on keeping one blue ameraucana ... probably still will, but I will feel really guilty separating them - they are glued to the hip. Also there is still a possibility that Bernice is a Bernie ... even though everything still says hen ... Bernice is just really different than Beatrice ... so watching closely for saddle feathers to appear. They might just be different looking girls, ya know?
