Unusually warm here in Tucson. I think I heard 107 for today.

Husband and MIL. Husband welds so hot is still hot around the welder.

But if the news says 110, at my house it is always 3-5 degrees hotter, and not just because I am fat.

I lived on OK for 11 years and grew up in CO. We'll probably move to OK. Not perfect but at least we can afford 40 acres, it has seasons, a little snow and pasture. There is nothing like a real, good,Oklahoma storm, especially a if it's associated with a hurricane in the gulf. We got 14 inches of rain the night before our opening fox hunt one year, after a week of hard rains. It was pouring rain that day and we still hunted. One of the horses and several hounds got washed downstream crossing what was normally a shallow creek. It was a fantastic day!
I've had four tornadoes hit my property but only saw the Norman/Moore cat five tornado from about ten miles to the north of me, thank goodness. That tornado took a one mile swath across the state from south of OKC all the way up to Tulsa, looked like pictures of Hiroshima when we drove through the next day. That's the only bad part. Joplin got hammered this year and OK is having the worst summer ever.
But, I still really love those storms. These storms we have here are wimpy, even the big ones.

I hope either you or nurse shelly will have some eggs for me next year if I have a broody hen. I'd love to raise a few serums with one of my banty hens.

I am so excited! We're going to look at houses this weekend. There's 7 potential houses on our list within three different HOAs. I was able to find the CC&Rs (finally!) and all three sound like chickens are acceptable yard pets. If anyone is familiar with these HOAs or wouldn't mind checking the CC&Rs and letting me know if I am right or wrong in believing chickens are okay, I would really appreciate the insight. I just want to make sure I'm not getting my hopes up again. ^_^
