Thanks Memphis.

I was just going to put them in the bathtub with pine shavings but there was a chorus of "cardboard boxes" sung through out the land.

How 'bout going back to the bathtub idea?

I figured it'd be pretty easy to clean...

... and just to forestall the, "Mikey can't come over 'till he showers" posts...

When my wife & I got married and combined our families (her 3 & my 3) we added onto my house & wound up with 4 bathrooms.

Now only 2 kids left at home, we have an extra bathroom for the Peepers!

Welcome to all the new people!!

Thanks to pastrymama to when to Bakers with me, prevented a beotch beatdown, and had lunch with us. She finally got to take her little scalped buttercup home. I think she should call her "Shaves in the Dark" or "Half Hawk"

Laree... if I had know you were in the van, I'd have walked out and said HELLO!

but I'll admit I was tired and wanted to hit the sac.... I was on top of Squaw Peak this morning when the sun came over Four Peaks at 6AM

I should have come in and said hi, but my children were vile all day, and I was still steaming from a MIL incident. And then we went to Bakers and almost got in a brawl.

...it was better you didn't see me. I know you like to think of me as a sweet little angel.

Welcome, DO.

Just got done butchering the last fatty and she was huge!

7.5 pounds, not counting organs or neck and trimmed of any excess fat/skin. Would have easily been another pound if I'd weighed all the fat I took off!
I can't wait to see what she tastes like slow roasted!

I'm so glad that job is done. What a nasty weekend to process chickens.

Tomorrow I'll make stock and I'll can it Monday. Two more hot days but at least it's only about 90 degrees when I'm cooking and canning!
