Welcome to the newbies! and Mikey....if you have an extra bathroom, put them in the rubbermaid tub in there...scooping poo and chips out of the tub...not fun....they sell the bigger ones at Wally for about $20...then no chips or chickie dust down the drain to clog....or get 2 smaller tubs and split the light

I read on another thread that you are not suppose to use cedar chips...they are bad for chicks. Does anyone know if there is truth to this? I do like the wood chips by throughbed.

My son is now raising mice and rats for his reptiles and it is strictly FORBIDDEN to use cedar (from what he has read and people he has talked with). If I had small mammals, I'd use cedar with no reservations.

That being said everything I've read says not to use cedar with chickens.
