I lost two Cornish. And the Silky. Doing okay now. The reds are doing great. Makes me wonder if the Cornish came from somewhere else to Ideal before being shipped out.
The bantams are always delicate so having only one, it's hard to say what happened. Everybody else looks good now. I was worried that it was some sort of infection because the yellow ones seemed sleepy compared to the rest but that could just be Cornish, too. They are a less active breed. But I also noticed they have wing feathers which the others don't, making it look like they could be a few days older, which could possibly mean they went through extra shipping and extra starvation. I noticed that some of the yellow ones were more "ribby" and dehydrated feeling, which also makes me think they were drop shipped to Ideal.
Hopefully, that's all it was.

Anyone want some free straight run chicks in 3 weeks or so? My Daughter wants to hatch a batch for a school project so thought I'd see if anyone was interested in free fuzzy butts....

Our Roo in the donating flock is a big old loveable BO we have had for quite some time and the hens are RIR, BR, DOM, EE, BCM, and BA so all will be mix breeds....

PM me if you want some and let me know how many eggs you want set....
