Evidence is in the poo for us and as said looks like small white rice grains that move a bit. Not sure which hens have worms as we have over 40 hens and found 3 stools in the yard after looking further showing worms. We had a test done 6 months ago, but it was a random sampling from under the roost an came back negative. We just can not afford to check 40 or so individual stools at 11.00 dollars a sample.....
I use Verm-X as a preventative, but now have worms anyway
http://www.verm-x.com/ But we also took in some bald hens recently.... They are looking much better, but perhaps the source of the droppings containing tapeworms. Still must do them all to be sure though....
We order our Valbazen online, but I am almost out and do not have enough to do all my birds and have spent a couple hours trying to find it locally in a liquid form.... Many places have never heard of Albendazol or the brand name Valbazen?????
Still calling around, but does anyone know where one can buy W/O a script in the valley? Really don't want to wait for shipping this time as they need it now! Darn I should have ordered more to have on hand, but.....
I called Tatum Drugs/Pharmacy and unfortunately you need a script but they do have Valbazen in powder form and just need to mix according to the script. Kristin said once she gets the script, it would be ready in one hour. Sorry if I can't be anymore help.
