Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

How many of you are having a turkey you raised for TGiving???

Shade and water are a must at all times. I live in Florida. All of my chickens squeezed under the chicken coop during the heat of the day. So, I plan to dig out a large pit under the chicken coop for next summer. They will be considerably cooler there, especially if it is also in the shade. I put an old blanket over that part of the coop, and dipped one end in a bucket of water and then sprayed the blanket each morning before I went to work. Wet blanket, providing shade, over a pit under the chicken coop. They loved it last summer. I will just make the pit bigger for next summer.
