Are those the Asian pears you talked about earlier?! Wow, if so, you weren't kidding when you said it was loaded with fruit! How do they taste? If they taste good, I'll be so jealous.

I think you have to enable apps? And it is only one vote per person. But thanks for trying

Several people have said they have difficulty voting.

Yes, those are my asian pears. They are not nearly as tasty as a good comice or seckel, but they do taste good. They are especially good for slicing and drying with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. I took this picture several years ago--there were a lot more pears this year, but many have fallen off the tree, and the ones remaining are WAY up high (tree is probably 25-30 feet tall).

I live in Wittmann! I have 7 fertile silky eggs right now and no incubator. If you would hatch them for me we could share the chicks. Cotton is on a laying binge but don't know if she will get broody. Don't want to loose my eggs this time. I just haven't the cash to buy a pator yet.
I use the computer at the library. Look at my page for my phone number and call me.

Speaking of which--the dog has been diging up and eating rotten eggs. (Some dogs bury bones; mine finds and buries eggs). At least now I know why she threw up on the bed last night.

EEEEWWWWWWWW!!!

Threw up rotten eggs on the bed?

No, she threw up her doggy food, that had a bit of the odor of rotten eggs--almost a sweet, but sort of chemical smell. I couldn't quite place it, but it seemed vaguely familiar. Then I found the whole stinkin' mess this morning. yeeeech! Lots of dog bury bones. Mine has to be the one that buries eggs. Did I mention that I have an indoor flower bed--actually two very large ones.
