Arizona Chickens

Not but a couple of drops here so far.
Boy turkeys are funny! The turklets and Blue Bell are free ranging now and late morning I looked out to see what the poodles were barking at. The turklets were all up on the chicken pens looking down on the dogs in the back yard fenced area where the dogs are kept.

Pouring here in East Mesa. Went out to lock up the chickens when a bolt of lightening came way to close for comfort. I bee-lined if for the house and had my husband lock up the chickens when he got home.

just wanted to add info to the sod situation. we also bought sod at home depot and they sell out fast, like within 20 minutes of opening. we're located in mesa so that might make a difference. good luck, sod around the coop is beautiful.
Our local Home Depot ALWAYS has sod. (Well, not always in winter, but from spring through fall it is always there.) Only one kind, though.

Mahonri, The olive egger I got from you layed her first egg today.  It's just as olive as can be, hard to capture in a picture. I wanted to show you and say thanks!

THAT is a thing of beauty, for sure! Can someone post a pix of a olive egger? Do they all look similar, or is it irregular from crossbreeding? Do they breed true, if you breed an olive to an olive? Sorry, I could probably look this up on this web site, huh? I'll look it up, but can you still post pix of your AZ ones?
