Arizona Chickens

I've got to go look at that Workday Chicken Pictures site.
I would have titled that one. "Now you go straight to your room and think about it!"

Thx. For the advice. I just moved them outside on Friday evening and they seem to be doing well but I notice they are not eating as much as they did when they were inside. Maybe because it's hot?

Cut up a couple of tomatoes for the cluckers & walk back to check the nest boxes...

Two eggs!

TWO!

Out of eleven! What the heck?

Freak'n Slack'n chickens!

You just try and push an egg out in 115 heat!

What I find bizarre is that a couple of ours who have been either broody, molting or otherwise slacking have decided that now is a good time to start laying again....

And.....several of ours appear to be checking out the roof again as a potential laying spot.....nothing like laying your egg in the blazing sun on some asphalt shingles!

Miss Amelia, my Easter Egger, laid this today! It weighed 70 grams. Her "normal" size eggs weigh 44 grams for now.

She must be trying to mimic the plastic egg in the nest!

2 days worth of eggs.
