Oh my GOSH!! I can't believe this. I was going to burn some pictures on my chicken disk and got a strange warning that to go on I would loose my pictures or something like that. I backed out as fast I could. I don't know what happened because I have been down loading pictures to disks a couple of hours before this happened. When I put the disk back in to see if all was all right and found out that only my first 14 pictures th I put on the disk was all I had showing!

All the chicken and turkey picture of the last year are not showing! Then I got to think well the best pictures I had I put on this thread so I can get back some. Well just a week ago I had gone through my album here and deleted a lot. I didn't know that would also take them off any thread I had a picture on!

Can anyone tell me how to get my pictures to show on the disk again? They have to still be there!
If anyone has saved any chicken or turkey pictures of mine please send them to me. [email protected]

has anyone ate ghost peppers well my neighbor did yesterday
i had planted several pepper seeds and with out knowing
i ask a neighbor do you wana try some pepers i grew he
said yes and was crying big time then i went home and
look for ghost pepper pictures on google and they were ghost peppers
oops, and they are still green i wonder how hot they are when
they are red

I think that they are fairly hot.. More than normal not sure .?
Look on Wikipedia there is a scoville scale... It might tell you rating.

Yes- Mesa does have restrictions on chickens. I copied the following from here -

Are chickens allowed in Mesa? How about roosters?
You may have up to 10 chickens on the first one-half acre or less provided any enclosure is at least 40 feet from any neighboring residence, any coop is at least 75 feet from any other residence, it is kept sanitary and they are not allowed to run loose or create a noise disturbance. A rooster is also allowed as long as it does not violate any of the above regulations. (See Mesa City Code 8-6-21.A, G, H, and I).

That being said - the city will not bother you unless they get a complaint. The best idea is to have a discussion with your neighbors before investing in chickens. The occasional gift of a carton of eggs goes a long way toward neighborhood harmony.

As for roosters- I can hear one a block north of me and there are some roosters up in the Brown/Gilbert Rd area. Turkeybreeder had a few roosters last year when I purchased hens from him. If you neighbors don't mind - apparently neither will the city.

Honestly, my neighbors were thrilled when I told them I was thinking of getting hens. It's not unusual for them to offer me grass clipings or bring over strawberry tops left over from making jam. When their grandchildren visit they are so excited to come over and collect eggs. I think if you get
everyone on board early on it can be a fun experience for all.

Hello Arizona Chickens,

We are from maine where we had a big coop and raised meat and laying birds. We loved the whole experience and would like to do that here. We live in Mesa and have a small tract home whose lot is 65 x 150. Are there any zoning restrictions or laws pertaining to chickens?
