Hi,
I am new to the fourm and live in buckeye, Az. I am looking for quality Black Copper Marans breeders here in AZ. Can anyone point me to the direction of some? I went to the state fair but there were only 2 people who had some on display. I have googled their names but with no luck.

If you find someone, please let me know. That is one of the breeds that I really want, but haven't found in town so far. I had called Mesa Feed Barn, Pratt's Pet Store, The Stock Shop, and The Western Ranchman. None of those had any in stock, but were willing to order it in batches of 25. I can't even dream of having that many chicks on my property, so it wasn't an option.

They have to order in that quantity, but you do not have to take that many. When I got my Silver Laced Wyandottes at Western Ranchman, someone had requested them and took what they wanted and WR sold the rest to the public.

yes, he is gorgeous. absolutely yummy color on that silkie boy. i don't think i have ever heard him crow, but i don't live there

if anyone is thinking of ordering chicks and wants to split shipping costs let me know. i am looking for light brahmas, i really want silver laced brahmas but i cant find them anywhere.
 
I now have 2 silkies sharing...




Right one is the new one...not sure where she got these eggs..





Back one...I gave her extra as she was broody...but not this many...





The back one is due pretty much next weekend...front one, not so sure, but they had kicked two eggs out this morning, EE egg was clear...silkie egg I saw movement...now make me patient to leave them alone with all those eggs to candle......
