Hello everyone!

Is it too hot to ship eggs around this time of year or would they still be viable?

One of my hens went broody yet again. I don't know of anyone in my state selling Blue Ameraucanas or Arkansas Blues so I think the only option will be to buy shipped eggs.

One of my hens went broody yet again. I don't know of anyone in my state selling Blue Ameraucanas or Arkansas Blues so I think the only option will be to buy shipped eggs.

It is too hot here for shipping but you need to check both where you are and where you are shipping.

I won't be shipping eggs from here until the Fall.

This week would have been ideal for me to ship. It has been in the 70's here which is unheard of for July. We go back to the 90's tomorrow. Too hot to ship.

Anyone interested in UofA Blue cockerels?
They have found their voices & my husband is NOT amused.

They were hatched 05/23/14 (almost 12 weeks old).
I am in Fairfield, CA (halfway between San Fran & Sac).

I was able to get some of mine back from the egg farm. They are sneaky things! One of them got out of the quarantine into the layer pen. By night time, she was back in the quarantine pen.

They like to fly up into trees too. They are fun chickens for sure.

found some on craigslist waiting on confirmation now
