I dropped off some eggs downstate too.
My current batch of young teens are very fun to watch - they are very active, hopping up into the windows several feet off the ground, and walking along the high roost. When you first open the door they all act as if they are about to die, but soon curiosity takes over and they move closer. Not chickens for chick huggers, but bright and active, they are probably excellent ranging birds.

My roo is grey with predominate black splashing now - he almost looks just like that hen but with the longer roo feathers - during his teens he looked like a normal grey splash.
