Arkansas Blue egg layers

I tossed an OE hybrid egg along with some Pita Pinta eggs to test fertility. The egg developed and hatched today.

@Manningjw has two of them that I shipped along with Arkansas Blue eggs. The chick is: Arkansas Blue Rooster X Partridge Penedesenca. The Rooster is a splash so the chick is a nice blue with a chip monk pattern.

Ron, what do you expect it to look like as an adult? I put a black copper marans and a clean legged wheaten marans in with my splash rooster to create some OE's and am expecting blue coppers and not sure what to expect with the wheaten cross.

Mostly blue with some blue but some may be splash. There may be some ghost barring from the Penedesenca.

2? No I have 3!

. They are a very nice shade of brown btw, should make some excellent olive eggers.

I saw you mentioning ghost barring. Do the Penedesenca have the barring gene then?
