POWER WENT OUT!! Our power went out around 9pm, just came back on 5 minutes ago.....have a dozen eggs in did what i could i covered the bator then took a hot water bottle and a hot bottle of water wrapped in towels, placed them on top then covered the whole thing with blankets and pillows to insulate. Checked my thermometer, had gone down to 93.8 F inside the bator but humidity is at 60%. As soon as temp is back up i will remove the water bottles to get humidity back down.....anyone care to give me a professional opinion on whether they will make it??

I say they have as good of a chance as they did before the power went out. A couple hours isn't gonna do any damage, especially since you took the precautions you did!!! Good job!

No biggie!

All should be O.K.

That's okay. I completely forgot and left the lid off my incubator this week after I was cooling the eggs from a temp spike, fell asleep and woke up the next morning, I think it was day 17 or so. pretty good hatch so far. Marans not so good, got a lav orp, and a bunch of silkies and javas though... and a dark brahma, some black orps, ameraucanas all telling me it wasn't a big deal. The thermometer read 75F and 26%... you could do worse, LOL

A few months ago a bator of my eggs spent the night in a cold bator, then spent the next whole day out in the garbage can at 50 degrees or so, went back in the bator and the 8 that didn't get broken all hatched.
