Well I know I have lots of duckies to use for inspiration.

But inbetween projects I get bored and dont really have anything to draw.

So... Anyone want to offer some duck pictures for me to draw? I can put your duck in a certain background if you want

Here is the scovie pic im practicing with. Now Im not sure waht to do for the background. I can either put a winter scene( Log, snow), summer scene ( Pond, greenery) , Feathers falling, A scroll with an ode to scovies, or Color it in with light near the scovie and getting darker as I head out. I can also combine the coloring with the scroll or the feathers in with something... HELP!!!

I know the picture is pretty bad, criticism welcome. ( oh, I know the bill/beak is short looking)

I did fix the shape of the head a little after i took these.

The picture is a combination of a few pics of my 4 m/o scovie female

Thanks! Ill get started on the little bit as soon as Im done with my Muscovy pic.

What breed is it ?

That's little Miracle, she's a Pekin. The photo was taken when she was about 24 hours old, sadly she passed away at 11 days leaving her sister Scrappy alone with me,she's now almost 5 weeks old. I hatched them in the house from one of my grown Pekin's eggs. Scrappy is mighty sassy, knows just how to get me to come pick her up for a snuggle and tries to scramble up under my chin or inside my shirt when she realizes I'm carrying her towards her brooder LOL

Aww! My scovies are like that, they love to get tangled in my hair.

Im sorry to hear that little miracle died

I should be done with this scovie pic this weekend or next week. Not sure yet what medium ill do it in.

Do you have a preference you would like me t color her in? I have water colors, soft oil pastels and colored pencils around the house, but can get some other mediums form school. I also have markers butthey are a little weird to blend colors with.

Thank you Hon, I cried like a baby when she passed away. Poor Scrappy was grieving hard so I spent most of my time with her and she snuggled up to a mirror when I couldn't be.
Your Scovie drawing is looking great! As for coloring? Surprise me, go with whatever your artsy self is in the mood for :)

thanks bunches!

I think Im going to use a type of pastel for my scovie, so if Im still in pastel mode ill use that fro miracle but I kind want to interpret some colored pencil for detail. Thats the first thing I thought of when i saw her picture.

Do you want her anywhere in particular? Any kind of background or scenery?
