Oh, that's amazing!! I would love to figure out how to keep the local crows around, but any food I leave out for them gets munched on by mice or the chickens get to it—sometimes I wish my bantams couldn't fly so well. :p And thank you so much. It was incredible getting to be so near to one, even if it was only for a short time!
Here's a photo of the raven awaiting transport—I'll delete it after you see it so it doesn't clutter up the thread. :D

To make up for this digression, I'll see if I can find any of my artwork depicting wild birds. I know I've done some in the past. :caf
I don't want to clutter up this fun thread either and will delete this as well after you see this. :)

OMG....poor dear! He is adorable though!!!! How sweet of you!! 💖💕 Thanks for sharing Banty!!

Oh and you can't leave food out as yes, everything eats it. After you have them trained, they will start showing up at certain times of the day. Just put out only what they will consume. They will get used to you eventually, to the point you can walk among them!

I’d love to be the crow lady in Home Alone- a fabulous look for fall I’d say

(I'm not very good at this but ...) Here's something I drew awhile ago, it's a belted kingfisher . I thought I'd give this thread a shot even tho everyone else's drawings are like ..fifty billion times better !

And here is a headshot of gazer , my ice dragon char.
I improved WAY much in less than a year- you can to! seeing as your (probably) still a young artist you have lots of room to improve and tons of talent already!

That makes sense! I might give that another try, I love having them around, and being able to walk near them sounds incredible.

Training them is easy but it takes time. When they learn it's you doing the feeding, only feed when they sit in certain spots in the yard. They will learn quickly and this way you know they are truly hungry and not just hanging around and other things eat the food you just put out. Move slowly and always take the same path putting the food in the exact same spot each time. If they fly away when you go outside, dont put the food out, they dont eat until they stay put. Until they learn to trust you, never look at them, this is an aggressive move on your part. Only after they trust you can you look eye to eye. Some let me walk with 5 feet of them, but I still have to respect their space.
