I was working on finishing details. drawing strands of hair for a couple hours. and shading, and highlighting, and iris details. Saved (promptly forgot I saved) zoomed out on my reference picture to show my boy something I was proud of. (it's taken me weeks to get where I am, and it still isn't done, but almost) after showing him I clicked the X to close the program. quickly hit no on the "do you want to save your work before closing?" prompt.

mind blanked, thought I lost 4 hours of work. Felt like an idiot when I remembered a few minutes of panicking later, that I had in fact saved right before showing the boy.
