I'm curious. What do you not like about your drawing? It is different from the original, but that will happen with every drawing. Actually, i dont think it would look better if it were traced. Where your dimensions are off in comparison to the picture still looks good. Just like you were making a different cow in the same pose. Which is probably what you're used to doing anyway. That's how i use ref pics to get the pose right and the general facial expression, but the face itself is different to make it my person.
