To me, it looks like the problem started with the sketch. I'll go into more detail in a minute. I have to drive home real quick.

Okay, what you need to do is start recognizing the planes of the face. It's not flat, and we all know that, so how do we make it look not-flat?
A good place to start is with the eyes.

See how there's the top, bottom, and inside plane? Most people only take notice of the top, because that's where the eyebrow is, but the bottom catches the light, and the inside kinda helps make the eyes look not so far apart.

I would say what you need is a reference picture. They really help me. You might also want to view some hair tutorials.

I think i found the source of my brain connection.
And it was all thanks to @TamingMaster

Though i feel so stunned for not being able to find it since i watched it so recently.

These boys... my brain said but the hair was like pink or blue
