Art School

I've been trying to draw Alice. I have her face clearly in my head but I just can't seem to get it the same way on "paper" what do you call it when it'd digital? I haven't been drawing for so long I can't seem to get it to cooperate.
I've been working on a couple pictures of her, actually. But I've been slacking with arting this week, and I'm pretty much getting nowhere. :rolleyes:

but your art is super pretty. Mine doesn't come out how I want it to most of the time. I just keep going until it comes out better. I mean I went through 4 different tries before I got where I am with my most recent picture, but it's not coming out how I wanted it. It's just better than it was before.

Maybe try different things, like plants or buildings or animals you haven't tried before.

even landscape.

try something completely new, and if it doesn't turn out, move on to something else.
Thanks. XD
I applaud you. I usually just give up the first time it goes wrong. :lol:

Yeah, maybe I should. :/

I want to further my art, but I feel so stuck? No matter what I do, it's like a constant art block. Even when I draw something, it just mostly comes out bad.
I want to get better, but I don't know how or what I'd like to my art to become. I don't even feel inspired by much anymore, because of how bad I feel about my art. ;--;
Methinks you probably need to better the we we you feel about arting in general? Maybe change up your arting area a little bit, or try arting in a different room or something. Don't put so much pressure on yourself, and maybe just doodle for a few days.
To find motivation, try watching some art people/tutorials on YouTube. Try to remember the things you love to draw, and why you love to draw them.

Be creative. Picture yourself as a different person, maybe? I know that Dr. Seuss would go into his closet when he was stumped. He would put on various hats until he had a good idea.

What would Batman draw? Or a chicken? What would an eccentric wizard draw? Think outside the box and make it easy on yourself.

Art should be like eating whipped cream straight out the can, not like eating broccoli.

WHY YOU TAKE PICTURE LIKE THAT.
It looks really good, I like how you used the lineart for the dark areas- shading it in rather than leaving it to be done by the coloring and shading later. Not quite sure what's going on around his first finger, though. Is that something on the skull, or are his fingers on top of each other?
