I mean that there's a line and that the hair that goes over that line is cut in half. It kind of bothers me.
Oh, I think I know what you're talking about. Since it's two separate chunks of hair I drew the line there.

I would suggest not shading with black next time. But the skin shading is fine.View attachment 1633772
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. I like how my art style has been going more cartoonish.
I agree. XDI would suggest not shading with black next time. But the skin shading is fine.

Me too!I agree. XD
I've always shaded with a darker version of the color, but I actually like how it looks with warm shading. I will try to remember that.I would suggest not shading with black next time. But the skin shading is fine.

I still suck at hair, but try drawing the hair in chunks of movement (if that makes sense).I'm trying to draw hair and it never seems to look right. Any tips?

In case anyone is struggling with colours:
Never just darken a colour or use black to shade! Always try to shift hue, saturation, and lightness.
For example, if you've got an orange sphere, the light could be bright yellow and the shade could be more of a darkened red.
If you look at the colours of objects in your environment, you can see how each object is affected by different lights.
Also, check out colour theory. Especially in Google images. There's so many images explaining it, you'll be spoilt for choice.![]()
