We just HAD to go get a puppy. Baggins (our 3 yr old bassett) really needs somebody to romp and play with--and Shea (the 12 yr old mini dachsund) just isn't up to it. So--Xena, a 5 month old
lab mix from the animal shelter, came home on Thursday. She's not
going to be very big--she's about 20 lbs now and doesn't have a large
frame. She's very sweet and fairly calm for a 5 month old puppy. She
rode really well in the car and slept in her crate last night with
very little fuss, and is learning about doing her business outside and
not in the house. Here's a couple of pics. She is already playing
with Baggins--he loves it.
When we don't have to worry about stitches(she was spayed yesterday) it'll be even better. So--hey--here's to more chaos and confusion in my life! You only live once, right?
