As the roo turns , I hope its not true. Any chance hazel isnt a roo?

One week later here are some updated pics of the Girls?
I figure I might as well document their progress from pullets to roos in this post haha.
Both are now more pink in the comb then before but I really haven't noticed any change in the shape or size of their combs or wattles. I'm still holding out hope.

Both are hens, Dominique males don't have any black on their feet. Here is a pic of one of my girls at 10 weeks. Not much change in the comb for a few weeks, though it is getting redder. Dominiques have dark red combs and waddles. I think you are safe! :)

Compared to mine, the feathers on yours are more well defined with a little more white in them, does that come with age or are mine just darker.

In the most recent pics they are between 4 1/2 and 5 weeks old.

Your Hazel is a pullet! Cockerels have wider white barring, making them look more silvery, almost from the start. They can be sexed 90% of the time by that just like Barred Rocks. Occasionally, a pullet will have wider barring and a larger headspot, another sign of a cockerel at a few days old, but most of the time you can take that to the bank. AND, it is also correct that the pullets have more black down the front of their legs. SO, rest easy. Hazel is a girl!

Thanks guys you made my week
