Aseels/Asils vs Shamos

What is the difference between Asils & Shamos? I've been reading up on them and they seem like neat birds (as long as the cocks are separated from other cocks?)

Are they cold hardy?

Can they be nice?

Would they range well?

Would I or someone else be able to be outside without being flogged or run off by a 3 foot tall, angry roo? LOL

And how about Malays? I just read that Shamos lay better than Asils (feathersite)...is that the case?

Does anyone breed these birds?

I have a friend who breeds Asils. I'd never heard of Shamos until earlier tonight so I can't tell you anything about them. Asils are tough critters. They do well here. We have some pretty cold winters and hot summers.
