I'm so jealous of your dog! I wish my Doberman would be a flock protector too. Just the other day on leash, he charged one of my Easter eggers! Clearly more prey drive than protective instinct going on there.
Thank you so much! Oh no, well don't lose hope! They all have potential to shock us. Fortunately my dog has more bite than bark, although he will bite someone, when it comes to critters he is deathly afraid of Lizards, ESPECIALLY BLUE TAIL ONES when their tails fall off! He just can't understand where the Lizard went..

I found that if we just let our dog out and fuss if he chases them, he eventually stopped chasing them. He may initially but he backs off pretty quickly.
