Hey Im Ashley and I live in south central OK, Right on the Red River. I am a hairdresser here. I use to be a member on here a few years back and lost touch after having children and moving. Now Im back and have finally restarted a flock.

It's my smallest flock yet, only 7.

Tidie-White Silkie Roo

Roody- Blue Splash Silkie roo

Denny- Partidge Silkie Hen

Ginger- RIR hen

Farrah- buff Ameracauna hen

Mo- Black polish hen with White hat

NayNay- Black silkie cross

I am curious what color silkie i can get from my three any ideas? I plan on letting them get broody and raising their own this summer/fall. I live in city limits but have a backyard coop. I enjoy them greatly, and my neighbors love watching my "crazy looking birds". The most common question i get is "What is that?!?" When they see our Silkies. Especially when Denny takes her weekly trip to Rian's preK class.

My fur children are Zelda (9 yr old min pin), Bones (5 yr old min pin/heeler mix), and Pepper (18 wk hermaphrodite min pin, rescue. She has one ovary and one testicle) And Obi1 (the master mouser cat!)

I have two Amazing daughter, Rian (5) and Keavie (nearly 2) And a supper great husband that puts up with me and my critters!

So can anyone tell me how to upload pictures and make a display pic?

Welcome Ashley! No clue on the picture question. I am new too. I think by the looks that you have to have so many post before you are allowed to move on to that next step. If you welcome some people, etc, I think you will be able to add stuff sooner than later.

There is a very active okie thread, you should check it out. In the where am I where are you topic.

I have no idea about the silkie question, but Illia would know you could post the question in the genetics thread I think she trolls that thread a lot she is a chicken genetics guru/genious, I on the other hand get migraines just thinking about chicken genetics.
