Trying to see if this is normal or not. I have some Asian blacks and some silver gem hens that have a darker tint to their combs and wattles. Most my boys and girls have bright red or a dull red coloring.
from my understanding the brighter they are the closer they are to full maturity and laying.
I do have a few birds, not many, 2-4 (I have 38 birds so getting exact numbers are hard sometimes lol) that have a dark dirty color to their combs and wattles
Any info/advice?

Well, looking at her face, the color is fine. She has a bit of Mulberry coloring going on there - likely from the mix of whatever she's made of.
I'm not a breed i.d.'er but to me she's not an Asian Black - where did she come from?

Silver Gem? Do you mean Saphire Gem?

Maybe you are mistaken on the names?

They came from hatcheries. So she shouldn’t be a mix
Also yes. From what I’ve read silver / sapphire gems are the same breed just some use diff names #shrug
I’m new to all this lol

Some places sell sex links and label them asian blacks. I have some, the coloring looks normal for them. It's just another confusing label that hatcheries use to sell their sex links and mixes.
