Benny you dish looks wonderful. What is that mixed in with the chicken? 

It is my modification of a traditional Libian dish. It usually uses wheat and beef, ox tail is wonderful there,, I prefer to use chicken and Pearl barley, it is a very simple recipe, the children love it dearly!

You got it!
2 -3 chicken drumsticks per person.
50-70 gram (2-2.5 ounces ) of pearl barley per person.
1 fresh egg per person
1 head of garlic
2 tbs of paprika (hot, miled, sweet, a mixture of this it is up yo you)
4-5 tbs of tomato paste (or 1 tbs of tomato paste and a tin of this:

Salt
Black pepper
Olive oil
Hot water

1.Wash the pearl barly in a steiner under cold water put them in a ball and cover with hot water
2. You put some oil in a broad pot and put the garlic cloves piled and cut to large slices and mix
3. When the oil is hot and you smell the garlic put in the chicken and stir until it changes color
4. Add the paprika and stir
5. After 2-3 minutes of stirring you put the tomato past or the crushed tomatoes and stir for a minute
5.5 add the pearl barly after you filter them from the water, stir for a minute
6. Cover with hot water and stir , put inside the eggs , salt and pepper bring to boiling
7.reduce the flame to minimum and let it cook, partially covered until the barley is thender
2 IMPORTANT comments!
1.This dish is knowen by its Notoriously feature to stick to the pot, you need to stir and scrape GENTLY the bottom by a large spoon every 10 minutes
2, if you think that it need some more water add only hot water.
