1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup pack brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated white sugar
2 large eggs, I use duck
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips or chunks
2 1/4 cups ap flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp fine salt

Cream together butter sugars and vanilla, I use my kitchenaide and paddle to get a real good cream going.

In a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients and spoon into the running mixer a little at a time.
Once all flour is in add chips and mix briskly.
Refrigerate for a minimum of one hour before cooking.

Pre heat oven to 375°
I use a 1/4 cup to portion my cookies into lumps, makes for a good size and is a bit forgiving when going for a chooey center if you leave them in to long. 13 to 15 minutes depending on altitude.
