I THINK I may have made it from scratch once....  steel bowl eggs wisked over boiling water adding butter and lemon juice....  I forget when.

But that had to be back when I was living in the mobile home....  Maybe thirty years ago?

blenders are useful but this one is better by hand. You don't need boiling water against the bowl, just something enough to change the temp at first, to hot and it will cook the egg.
Simple run down. In approximate order.
Egg yolk and Dijon whisked
Clarified butter(warm)
Once you start pouring the butter you can't stop.
Salt
Pepper
parsley
Hot sauce of your choice
Lemon.

Getting the pie in the oven.. Went the rustic route cause I don't feel well. Red tators young carrots... Green beans. Store bought pie crust... Sorry attimus. Should be good to go.
