Good question. My favorite thing is the fact that I can drive 2 hours in any direction and be in not only complete wilderness, but in completely different biomes. AZ goes from low low desert (below sea level) all the way to tundra at over 15k feet in elevation. It's not all cactus and tumbleweeds, and there's an amazing diversity of life and landscapes.

And the sky at night in the open dark will blow you away if you're used to life East of the Mississippi.
