Sending all our prayers too! We've dealt with dehydration lots with our 6 yr old son, it's amazing how quickly they recover once they get the I.V. fluid into them! I'm sure your daughter will do the same!

Thoughts and prayers for you DD. Dehydration is fairly common after that type of surgery due to the sore throat. Gatorade, popsicles, Pedialyte or even just plain boiled sugar water are some things you might try when she gets home.
(The sugar water was a suggestion from an old country doctor given to my mother when I was small and had the same problem. The pediatrician wanted me rehospitalized for iv's but this old timey doctor's trick worked)

Just saw this post Johnny but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as your daughter recovers. One great thing about that particular surgery is all the required ice cream eating afterward, lol!! So go get a container of great ice cream and stop worrying, sounds like she did just great and will recover wonderfully, sure hope so anyway. Darlene Happy New Year pal!!!
