Assistance with my *Assorted* Duck Breeds......

TSC had these ducks, all listed as *assorted*. What breeds are they?

SO FAR, we've gotten the yellow one is a Pekin and the black ones are Mallards.

Golden 300 hybrids, perhaps.

Could they be rouen instead of mallards?

I read somewhere that you can tell based on the eye stripes........I forget if a double stripe is rouen or mallard though.

Girl at TSC said Mallard, but I'd be more inclined to believe my good people on BYC over her.

I have some rouen pekin cross ducks that look exactly like the yellow and black one but I do not think that is even a possibility...

Yup... that one is my favorite... I love the black stripe on it's head and the fluffy black butt!!!

I believe Rouens are the ones with the double stripes. The others look like 300 hybrid layers to me.

I think it can be faint too. I have some of my own, and they looked like mallards when they were little day olds but they did get darker (believe it or not) and Im now thinking rouens. Id say it could be either at this point, so if tsc said mallards (on the sign. NOT if an employee said so ) then Id go with that. But tbh if I look real close I see two stripes, so with no prior info Id say rouen. just me.

The darker colors one (without markings) could maybe be a buff
