These pictures are from an older thred made this morning. You can call them by the names i added but you dont have to. Good luck!

The aggressive one

This is the one thats doing the crowing sounds most of the time, calling him that because he seems to always torment and chase the other quails, even when there slightly bigger than him. Problably a male.

The Chocolate nugget

More like a bystander amidst the chaos, very calm, very cute

you're Wondering what gender they are, correct? The first ones ones i can't tell but Patchy is a male and 'the bouncer' is female

No. 6 and Makeup also look female. The rest can’t be feather sexed, so watch their behavior, listen for crowing, or pick them up and gently press the bump around the vent. If white foam comes out, you’ve got a boy.
We also have an insanely small quail, it has the patterns of 'bouncer' but everyone in the pen is twice the size of it. i was actually worried about him at first due to his size and absolutely awful plumage. hes actually quite healthy but his wing feathers could still use some preening. I dont have a picture of him but i do kbow that hes the same age as his flock

Sometimes you just get a runt. Hopefully if it’s a hen it won’t have trouble laying. Maybe give him some protein-rich treats so he can grow new feathers.

I have 2 from a recent hatch that are much smaller than the rest, and slow to feather. After searching around on the site, I read a post about chicks born with premature digestive tracts, and the post recommended offering supplements in the water like nutridrench, and it seemed to help. They’re still small, but they’ve really started feathering nicely.
