Assisted Hatch getting worse....

Uh. We are totally wet behind the ears at this. Any help is appreciated. We have considered culling and I feel bad that I intervened with her fate now. She was late and assisted when she was stuck in the shell. Now know I shouldn't have..we are at Day 3
She cannot stand or walk (have tried to support splayed legs) This question is about her eyes...she had crud and such on them day 2. We softened and tried to gently clean them with clean water and q-tip. I just took pictures and her right eye is now closed over. Is it ok to try to saline them? should I be using a q-tip gently at all?

I was able to pull down the eyelids and gently saline the eye and area. We will let her rest for now....praying she goes on her own. I have mixed feelings about whether we should give her more molasses water...

You guys are amazing! I am not cut out emotionally for hatching chicks. My friend is the one with the farm they go to live happy free range lives on

Thanks for any help you can provide. I don't think I can euthanize another sweet being...our goldendoodle (profile picture) got cancer last summer. I'm so sad right now.

Saline is good. I wonder if she has some membrane stuck there ? I would try a warm wet paper towel to gently clean the whole area on the outside .
Why are giving molassas ? It makes them poop. It would be better off with some nutra drench and scrambled egg. save a chick in the water or gatoraid mixed in the water .
