Assorted brown egg layer

What an unusual chicken! I think all the "breeds" are out and she's a fence-hopping rooster special. If she had puffy cheeks or a pea comb, I'd think EE -- especially since the legs look a bit tinted. But with those traits absent, I'd expect brown eggs.

I guess I just assumed the feed store had gone through a hatchery. They had tons that looked just like her. She resembled a tiny chipmunk. Regardless of breed she is very sweet and I hope indeed a she. :) the other breeds we got from the same bin were a black star, and 2 tetra tints.

The chipmunk look is extremely common and shows in both "pure" breeds and mixes with Duckwing-based color patterns so it doesn't really point to any particular breed. For example, a barnyard mix, speckled Sussex, Welsummer, brown Leghorn, and Easter Egger can look almost identical as chicks but very different as adults. Maybe she's supposed to be an EE (hatchery Ameraucana). Hard to say.
