The available breeds from Ideal were.......

B/W Magpie
Black Runner
Blue Swedish
Buff
Cayuga

Domesticated Grey Mallard
Fawn and White Runner
Khaki Campbell
Rouen
White Pekin

I appear to have a wide variety of breeds, with 9 or 10 crested ducks in the batch.

I *think* this picture shows two Fawn and White Runners, a Rouen (or mallard) head and a Black and White Magpie.

I *think this picture shows Buff, Blue Swedish, a crested Black Cayuga and Fawn and White Runners

Several Ducklings Hide from the camera.....

Buffs, runners, a blue swedish and a cayuga. The camera did not show the markings on the yellow ducklings that convinced me they were Buffs, but I can see them. :)

Here you can see a Rouen Head, a Black and White Magpie, what I *think* is a buff right beside the Magpie, and Blue Swedish.

So, am I right or am I wrong? i'd love to hear the opinions of others as to what breeds I have. I've never been around ducklings before. :)

I think you might have just gotten at least one of each duck listed.

I think I got most of them! *is excited* I had no idea what type of duck I would prefer, and I was really hoping for a varied assortment so that I could figure them out. And I got it! The only duck I KNOW I don't have is a Khaki Campbell. I don't think I have a Black Runner or a grey mallard either, but it is possible. I only have one all black duckling, which I think (hope) is a Cayuga.

I'm seeing several Pekins
What's the difference in Pekins and Fawn and White Runners? I have 5 yellow chicks, 2 of which are fat and round and fluffy (I think these are Pekins) and three of which are frequently standing up very straight and tall just like a pencil( which I think are Runners.) But never having been around either type before, I'm not sure. Do Pekin's do the whole straight-up-and-down thing as infants?

Pekins wont have that darker brownish tinge to their heads and backs. You'll see as soon as the feathers start coming in. Depending on their quality you should be able to tell the runner ducklings apart from the rest because they will stand up starighter. The pekin is a heavier breed. And I agree, I'm seeing one of most of the breeds. Magpie, rouen, f/w runners, black swede, buff, cayuga, and khaki campbell. I dont spot and blue swede though =(
