At a loss, stunted growth?

A little update on the little guy.

He's slowly growing, he's hit a point now where he's long legged and lanky while getting in his older feathers and his comb is growing/coloring up finally.

At this point I don't see any male looking feathering, don't see any hackle feathers, saddle feathers or sickle tail feathers. Are you sure it's a boy? Maybe a very, very late bloomer. I guess time will tell for sure. At least it's growing and looking pretty healthy despite the size difference, either way.

Yes definitely a boy. He was growing fine and perfectly on track before he left. He went to a conservation farm and came back 2 months later the same size he left? We tried to figure it out one day and she believes something happened when she was in the hospital from a pig attack because 2 of hers that were with him stunted as well. I've given him extra protein a few times a week and it's seemed to have helped him grow some. As long as he's happy and healthy, I'm happy. 🙂

Interesting. Never heard of stunted growth from something like that. Hope he continues to do well. Maybe he will be entirely normal once fully grown, though maybe smaller always. Time will tell.

Everyone likes to follow when I switch their fan battery so I was able to snap a couple updated photos of Little Jeff.
